What we are looking for
We are particularly interested in record collections that have been built up with passion over the years. We buy a range of formats:
LPs (12")
Wide-ranging: from pop, rock & dance through to jazz.
Maxi singles
Mainly 70s, 80s and 90s (all genres). Please note: house and rap from the mid-90s onwards only selectively.
7" Singles
All genres (pop, rock, punk, rare funk). Also Schlager and NDW – no ‘mass-market chart hits’.
Rock, Pop & Metal
Our main focus is on rock and pop. From classics such as Abba and Boney M deep into psych/prog/krautrock. Also punk, wave, alternative and metal. We value first pressings particularly highly.
Jazz, Soul & Funk
Jazz collections call for experience. Whether Blue Note or Impulse: we know their value to collectors. Even if the names mean nothing to you – we recognise the treasures.
GDR & Amiga
Many dealers turn down East German pressings across the board – we do not. We know the Amiga catalogue and distinguish precisely between ‘mass-produced stock’ and sought-after rarities.
Condition & quality
The value of your record collection stands or falls with its condition (‘grading’). As we resell records worldwide, clear criteria apply.
The vinyl
Should play well. Light ‘hairlines’ are normal – deep scratches (‘skips’) are a problem.
The cover
As clean as possible. Water damage or a strong musty cellar smell reduces the value considerably.

What we do NOT buy
No collections consisting solely of German folk music, classical music or ‘hit parade’ compilations – these usually have no resale value. Please note: we are happy to look at Schlager by individual artists, even though these are often hard to sell.
