The Lovin' Spoonful – Background & Discography
Formed in New York in the mid-1960s, The Lovin' Spoonful were among the defining representatives of American folk rock with tracks such as “Do You Believe in Magic” and “Daydream”. The band combined catchy melodies with influences from blues and youthful pop, which brought them success both on the radio and on international stages. After several Top 10 hits and four studio albums, the group disbanded at the end of the decade, but remains present through their songs and various reissues in the catalogues of many record collectors.
