With the German-language version of "Amore Mio", the duo achieved one of the best-known Schlager singles of the early 1970s in 1973. The release in various pressings makes especially early copies interesting for collectors. In addition to their own songs, cover versions of international hits are also part of their repertoire.
Nina & Mike – Style & Genre Classification
The duo moved musically within German-language Schlager, comparable to Cindy & Bert or Marianne Rosenberg from the same era. Typical features are catchy melodies, harmonious vocals and a clear connection to the pop music of the 1970s. Stylistically, Nina & Mike differ from other Schlager duos through occasional adaptations of international songs, such as their cover version of "Lola" (originally by The Kinks).
