Max Greger – Background & Discography
The Munich saxophonist and conductor was mainly active between the 1950s and 1980s and, with his orchestra, stood for danceable light music, swing and Schlager. Many of his recordings appeared on labels such as Polydor and Ariola. In addition to his own projects, Greger also worked with artists such as Udo Jürgens and Caterina Valente. His versions of international hits as well as his own compositions can still be found in collections of classic German light music today.
