Jürgen Marcus
With the song “Eine neue Liebe ist wie ein neues Leben”, the singer achieved one of the best-known German-language Schlager hits of the 1970s in 1972. Numerous appearances on TV shows and a distinctive tenor voice shaped his career for more than a decade. In German-speaking countries, he remained especially present through his collaboration with composer Jack White.
Jürgen Marcus – Sound & Production Style
The recordings of Jürgen Marcus are characterised by orchestral arrangements, catchy melodies and a clear, prominent vocal line. Typical of 1970s Schlager, strings, brass and rhythmic guitars were used, often produced by Jack White and released on labels such as Telefunken. The productions focus on a compact mix, with the vocals always at the forefront, supported by session musicians of the time.
