Blondie
With “Heart of Glass”, the band achieved an international number one hit in 1979, which made them known worldwide. Between punk, new wave and pop, the group around singer Debbie Harry became a flagship of the late 1970s and early 1980s. Their greatest successes came in collaboration with Chrysalis Records.
Blondie – Background & Discography
Founded in 1974 in New York, Blondie shaped the intersection between punk and pop and brought hits such as “Call Me”, “Atomic” and “Rapture” into the charts. The albums “Parallel Lines” (1978) and “Eat to the Beat” (1979) are among their best-known releases. Even decades after their initial success, singles and compilations by the band remain in demand, as they appeal to both a broad audience and fans of various genres.
