Barry Ryan
With the single "Eloise", the British singer achieved high chart positions across Europe in 1968 and became widely known to the public in Germany in particular. From the mid-1960s, he was initially active together with his twin brother Paul Ryan, before starting a solo career. His repertoire focused on orchestral pop songs and English-language Schlager.
Barry Ryan – Background & Discography
As a solo artist, Barry Ryan released numerous singles from 1968 onwards, which were particularly successful in German-speaking countries and in France. His best-known titles include "Eloise", "Love Is Love" and "Kitsch". Releases appeared on labels such as Polydor and MGM. Even after withdrawing from the music business in the 1970s, his records remained in demand, not least because of the various language versions of individual songs and the international pressings.
